Old versions of Bluestacks perform just as well as the latest build of the program which is undoubtedly a great Android emulator. If you want to download old Bluestacks, our collection will be the best place to choose the most optimal build that completely suits all your technical and aesthetical requirements.
Though Microsoft has made a streamlined experience for uninstalling a UWP App or a Win32 App on a Windows PC, sometimes it may be tedious. I say this because these apps sometimes tend to leave some registry entries or junk files even after they are uninstalled. This makes our job really hard because we need to manually look up for left out files and delete each of them manually. Talking about the Windows Registry – it is no better story. There are hundreds of thousands of registry entries that are left in the machine. Though these measures are taken to preserve user settings and data. This will be useful in a case when a user is planning to reinstall the program. But this is not the case maximum time. Now, let us see how to uninstall Bluestacks properly.
First of all, to uninstall a program, you will have to open Control Panel. You can do it by searching for it in Cortana search box.
This window will pop up once you open the Control Panel.
Now, you will have to click on Uninstall a Program sub-menu under the Programs menu.
A new list view will now load up where you will have to search for Bluestacks and select it. After that just right click on the list entry and click on Uninstall.
You should now see a UAC (User Account Control) prompt asking you to allow the program to make changes to your computer. Click on Yes.
After that, a dialog box will ask if you want to uninstall Bluestacks App Player. There you have to click on Yes in order to proceed further.
Now, the Bluestacks App Player will be uninstalled and you will see a prompt saying that Bluestacks is now uninstalled. Here is what the prompt looks like.
Your job is not done yet. Now, as discussed above, you will have to delete all the leftover junk one by one.
Removing leftover junk files and entries
Now, there will be a leftover folder named BluestacksSetup.
You can find this folder probably hidden in the ProgramData folder in the root or C: drive. This folder could be hidden too.
Once you have found it, delete the BluestacksSetup folder.
Now, hit the WINKEY + R combination of keys on your keyboard or search for Run in the Cortana search box to start the Run utility.
Inside that, type in %temp% and hit OK.
A new folder will open up. Select all the files inside that folder and hit SHIFT + Delete combination. Hit Yes to the prompt that asks you if you want to delete those temporary files, permanently.
As a safety precaution, let us do another step that will ensure that Bluestacks is properly cleaned from your computer. For this, you have to do the following.
In the Cortana search box, search for regedit. Or just open the Run box and type in Regedit inside it and hit OK.
Now, navigate to this path :
Inside that registry folder, select all the files and delete them.
After this Bluestacks has been properly cleaned from your computer without leaving any junk leftovers.
Why should I manually delete all the files?
By this method, we also decrease our dependability on third-party software Uninstaller software. In my opinion, Windows operating system is self-capable of managing its own residual and junk files and how it uses and handles temporary or permanent files provided that the software is built properly. Also, a similar method is useful for properly cleaning all the residual files for all the software that are uninstalled using the default Control Panel method on Windows.
