Stealth Suits are the lightest battlesuit fielded by the Tau military in large numbers, although this is actually somewhat misleading as the name technically refers to two different battlesuit variants. The XV25 version is the most commonly seen and is the larger of the two, having most of the features that are commonly expected of a battlesuit. Tau blood is red. No personal attacks. Keep it civil. No low effort meme posts. Head over to /r/grimdank for that. The 'Rule of 3' is not an official rule, provide context when informing people how it may affect their list. Other useful subreddits: Warhammer40k, The main hub for all 40k. Tyranids, Know your enemies! Total newb here! Been dipping my toes into Warhammer 40k and picked up a some Stealth Suits to see if I enjoyed building and painting the models. I've got the Tau Codex and the rulebook and I'm slowly flipping through those too. But I can't seem to find what the little yellow thing that came with the Stealth Suit team is. Seen here, far right.
I have two questions for you all...
1. Would it be worth running a squad, three, XV9s? I like the models and want to pick them up but for the price, work, time, effort, are they worthy on the table? I have Shas'o R'alai but haven't used him yet. I like his model and he seems a cool HQ, so I got him as my first FW model.
2. Is Shadow Sun the same size as a normal Stealth Suit just on a funky piece and funky pose? I don't want to work with Finecast and resin if I can help it. So thinking about getting a single Stealth Suit to make her.
